Awareness talk regarding Kidney Health was organised at yenepoya specialty Hospital, Kodialbail Mangalore on the occasion of World Kidney Day 2022. Awareness talk was conducted by senior in-house urologist Dr.Ashok Pandit (MBBS, MS, Mch) and in-house Nephrologist Dr.Santhosh Pai B.H (MBBS, DNB (General Medicine), DNB (Nephro)and also in the presence of Director- Medical Dr.Muhammad Thahir.

March 8th is observed all over the world as International Womens’ Day. It is a day to celebrate womanhood, promote gender equality, inclusiveness and dignity for all. Being an institution committed to the welfare of women Yenepoya Specialty Hospital, Kodialbail has honoured three outstanding women achievers with ‘Woman of Substance’ award. Smt. C. S. Radhika (Entrepreneur and Healthcare Worker), Smt. Tabassum (Carer of HIV Infected Girl Children) and Prof. Maria D’Costa (Academician and Social Worker) are the recipients of the award for the current year. The awards were presented to the recipients in a formal ceremony on March 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the central auditorium of Yenepoya Specialty Hospital, Kodialbail, Mangalore.

International day of Persons Disabilities

Yenepoya Specialty Hospital in collaboration with the Sam’s Clinic observed the international day of persons with disabilities on December 3rd 2021 A Handbook titled ‘Menstrual Management in the Intellectually Disabled’ for caregivers, written by Dr Mehnaz Abdulla, Consultant obstetrician and Gynecologist, YSH, was launched by the chief guest, Sr Maria Jyothi this was followed by talks by Ms Vidya Shenoy and Mrs Ledith Pinto who had personal experience in dealing with persons with disabilities.

Dr. Muhammad Thahir, Medical Director, assured special consideration for persons with disabilities and announced the plan of starting special needs op for those in need.

The function was also attended by Dr Sally Mary Abraham, HOD of the department of OBG, Yenepoya Medical College Hospital.
